A day in the life:

• Provide project level oversight for industrial refrigeration construction projects (i.e., customer relations, project quality, progress, contract and job cost management, planning and forecasting)

• Act as primary business manager for ColonialWebb Industrial Refrigeration construction projects

• Maintain primary responsibility for redemption of equipment, material and subcontractor estimates; secondary responsibility for labor and other costs

• Negotiate and manage pricing of all change orders

• Develop the initial schedule for ColonialWebb on assigned projects

• Submit RFIs and review responses to determine scope impact

• Plan and coordinate with Construction Manager on requirements of the projects as they relate to schedule, sequence, production and quality

You should have:

• 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager for industrial mechanical related construction projects (i.e., in an industrial refrigeration, manufacturing, food processing, or power/energy setting)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Engineering

• Possess a valid driver’s license and willing to travel 30% of time (15% overnight travel)

• Knowledge and interest of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources

• Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications

• Ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers at various levels within an organization—i.e., owners, GC’s, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, draftsmen, etc.
