Job Title: Experienced Level HVAC Service Technician

Pay: $72,000 - 95,000

Job Description

We are seeking a Experienced Level HVAC Service Technician for our Hampton Roads office. You must be willing to be designated as a 'Primary' to be dispatched to refrigeration calls and work on commercial-sized HVAC units, including medical offices, commercial buildings, and storefronts. Additionally, experience with refrigeration in restaurants and assisted living facilities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform all customer service tasks.

• Conduct thorough and efficient Preventative Maintenance.

• Diagnose advanced level service problems.

• Document and estimate service repairs.

• Solve unusual situations and make temporary repairs to critical systems.

• Act as a leader and trainer to junior team members.

• Provide over-the-phone technical assistance to all team members.

• Work on Variable Air Volume systems.

• Utilize knowledge of building automation and control systems.

• Diagnose issues with water source heat pumps, boiler/chiller systems, and cooling towers.

• Attend training for VRF systems if not already experienced.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to attend training for VRF systems.

• 2-5 years of experience in restaurant refrigeration, depending on the percentage of workload during the claimed years.

This environment is ideal for lead technicians who prefer a predictable and balanced schedule. You will also be provided with a company vehicle and the opportunity to work independently.

Work Environment

The typical schedule is 8am-5pm, with variations during winter and summer, and potentially less work during fall and spring. The on-call rotation is one week out of six with a $100 on-call spiff.
