Robert Half Budget and Forecasting Analyst in Chesapeake, Virginia

Description We are looking for a Budget and Forecasting Analyst to join our team in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia, United States. This role is particularly suited for individuals who are interested in the Retail industry. As a Budget and Forecasting Analyst, you will be responsible for financial oversight, expense inventory control, and budget preparation. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial oversight for store supplies related expenses.

• Maintain expense inventory control in all distribution facilities.

• Prepare various ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses.

• Participate in the annual budget preparation for areas of responsibility.

• Support leadership with all strategic projects and initiatives.

• Function as a liaison between Field Operations and SSC.

• Complete analysis for field expenses and development of programs and reports to control costs.

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions for efficient operations.

• Execute Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, and Expense Reporting accurately.

• Apply Finance skills to carry out responsibilities effectively. Requirements • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within the Retail industry

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Budget Processes and Expense Reporting

• A strong understanding of Finance principles and practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to create and manage budgets and forecasts

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines

• Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
