Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:

  • The Logistician will be providing support to the Fleet Readiness Center East CH-53 Logistics Team. This support will be provided by analyzing and coordinating the ongoing aircraft logistical functions with the Fleet Readiness Center, Sikorsky, Marine Corps Units, and all other entities as required. Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. Performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of aircraft weapon systems supportability or maintainability programs.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical evaluation and identification of aircraft weapons systems logistics/maintenance requirements and resources.

  • Development of aircraft logistics support and maintainability programs or plans.

  • Aircraft systems acquisition requirements analysis.

  • Aircraft life cycle cost analysis and control.

  • Weapons systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility.

  • Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.

  • Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to aircraft logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems

Qualifications

  • Required Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in aircraft life-cycle (acquisition or sustaining) logistics.

  • Required Education / Certifications:

  • BS or BA degree.

  • Allowable Substitutions: (in addition to the one (1) year of aircraft life-cycle logistics experience).

  • Associate degree plus an additional four (4) years of aircraft acquisition logistics, supply support or maintenance work experience that meets the experience requirements for a Journeyman Logistician.

  • High School Diploma/GED plus an additional six (6) years of aircraft acquisition logistics, supply support or maintenance work experience that meets the experience requirements for a Journeyman Logistician.

  • Experience:

  • Experienced in communicating with customers, employees, and corporate staff.

  • Experienced in the daily use of computers and computer software programs such as, but not limited to, Microsoft (MS) Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Adobe.

  • Skills & Technology Used:

  • Working knowledge of Aviation Acquisition Logistics, Supply Support, or Maintenance best practices.

  • Self-Starter.

  • Organizational Skills.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Adaptability.

  • Software:

  • Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine, and other general office equipment.
