Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Department: Cherry Hill Operations Multispecialty

Entity: CPUP

Location: Penn Medicine Cherry Hill - 1865 Route 70 E

Hours: Mon-Fri office hours per department needs

Summary:

  • The CPUP Licensed Practical Nurse assists physicians and performs healthcare services to patients in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Monitors and charts patients, collects sample, and performs other tasks as assigned, all under the direction of registered nurses and doctors.

Responsibilities:

  • Administersprescribedmedications, givesinjections andvaccines, reads PPDresults.

  • Performselectrocardiograms(EKG) and screeningtests.

  • Obtains andtests specimensfollowing standardoperatingprocedures anddocuments results,taking appropriateaction withunexpected results.

  • Prepares specimensfor transport asnecessary.

  • Gatherinformation frompatient and direct tothe RN or Providerwhennecessary.

  • Assistsprovider withsurgical proceduresincluding positioningpatients, keeping asterile field, andwound cleaning anddressing.

  • Preparespaperwork tocomplete patientvisit.

  • Obtains anddocuments patient'svital signs as neededand reportsabnormal results toprovider.

  • Cleans,disinfects, sterilizesand checks to makesure all instrumentsand equipment arein proper workingorder.

  • Maintainsmedication storageclosets.

  • Participates in orienting new team members.

Credentials:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

  • Practice Nursing School (Required)

  • 15+ months outpatient experience preferred
