IHA of Ann Arbor PC Radiology Technologist in Chelsea, Michigan

Trinity Health IHA Urgent Care offers flexible schedules (day & afternoon shifts, weekends)

Shift Differential for all shifts

$2.00 per hour during ?regular business hours

$4.00 per hour after 5p and weekends.

SHIFTS CONSIDERED:

Weekdays:

12 hour shifts can also be considered!

7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

4:00 p.m. - Midnight

Weekends:

8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

7:45 a.m.  - 4:00 p.m.

12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain quality digital images of designated body portions for interpretation by physicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Confirms patient identity is correct, checks

in patients, schedules appointments.

Creates Radiology Module.

Greets and courteously escorts

patient and other guests to

examination room.

Interprets patient histories and physician instructions.

Prepares patients for procedures utilizing aseptic and sterile

technique.

Positions

patients for radiologic examination.  Selects exposure factors, takes exposure and processes images. Practices radiation protection.

Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures through the application of ionizing radiation to produce digitized images.

May operate diagnostic bone density equipment to obtain pertinent information and images necessary for interpretation by

physician per ISCD (International Society of Clinical Densitometry) criteria.

Records pertinent information on requisitions.

Directly enters medication, laboratory, and/or radiology orders into the electronic medical record per state, local and professional guidelines.

Responds to patient emergencies as needed.

Cleans work area, examination rooms and equipment as needed; performs limited maintenance of equipment.

Performs image-management duties within the

PACS system and

NextGen, as required.

Documents patient information in a timely and accurate manner to ensure continuity of high quality health care.

Check out duties include assisting with ensuring that patient encounter forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.

Completes forms in accordance with office and IHA protocols. Sends letters and reminders to patients.

Serves as liaison between patient
