Brio Living Services-Chelsea Retirement Community Full Time Cook in Chelsea, Michigan

*Location: *Chelsea Retirement Community | Assisted Living & Kresge-Skilled Nursing

*Status: *Full Time, 32 hours per week

*Hours: *Rotating between 8:30am-5pm and 11:30am-7pm, works every weekend.

Salary Range: $17.51 To 21.12 Hourly

The Cook prepares wholesome and delicious meals in our scratch kitchen for older adults while bringing smiles to their faces through food.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals for residents
  • Collaborate with our team to create healthy and flavorful dishes
  • Cater to special dietary requirements and restrictions
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation

What it takes

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • HS Diploma/ GED required
  • Culinary Education Preferred, not required
  • ServSafe Certification Preferred, not required
  • Prior experience in a professional kitchen as a cook, line cook, or prep cook in the food service industry preferred but not required.  On-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to participate in frequent stooping and bending, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
