Overview

Elderwood at Cheektowaga is looking for RN Nursing supervisors! Our Skilled Nursing Facility is part of our larger Cheektowaga campus - tucked away comfortably in a quiet neighborhood and surrounded by greenery and wildlife. Our nursing supervisors help ensure the safety and wellness of our residents by being responsible for the care rendered during their assigned shift, supervision of all nursing personnel in each unit, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Elderwood at Cheektowaga currently has the following shift openings for RN Supervisors

Part-time 3 PM - 11 PM

Part-time 11 PM - 7 AM

Part-time every other weekend

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for responding immediately to residents’ requests.

• Supervise nursing care services and staff on all units while on duty.

• Actively promotes facility safety programs.

• May assume responsibility as the Infection Preventionist Nurse.

• Assume responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing Services and/or Director of Nursing Services.

• Strong supervisory skills for managing and coordinating care of residents

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Supervisor:

• Possession of a state license in applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role

• Interest or experience in geriatrics or Long-Term Care

• Current BLS/CPR

• Experience with dementia population desirable

• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
