Responsibilities

The System Analyst – Applications maintains report writing functions and is responsible for effective production of reports necessary to meet the end user needs, according to approved projects of Mountain Management Services’ Information Systems Strategic Plan and approved budget.

  • Maintains updated, accurate, and realistic time lines in coordination with the System Coordinator.

  • Communicates daily with the System Coordinator regarding current projects and status.

  • Provides System Coordinator with a weekly update of all projects and status projects.

  • Follows through with projects and communicates with the customer on a weekly basis to update customer on the progress and status of the project.

  • Supports development activities that require specialized system enhancements relating to the system environment.

  • Assesses own learning needs and seeks additional resources to increase competency in the job.

  • Maintains the integrity of the processing environment, and ensures continuity with the current processing applications.

  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all enterprise departments to optimize working relationships and communication.

  • Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, or education.

  • Assists with training and development of users when requested.

  • Sets up realistic schedules and time frames for task completion as demonstrated by adhering to schedule.

  • Works with vendors to provide the most cost effective and user friendly solution to the end users’ need.

  • Maintains ongoing review of reports to ensure satisfaction with system.

  • Writes the required reports and performs necessary testing to ensure work meets user needs.

  • Maintains contact with user/department in order to provide better work flow and integration of system operations as evidenced by user/department satisfaction.

  • Provides documentation updates if changes are made to existing reports to ensure ongoing correct usage of work.

  • Maintains trouble tracking system and meets the department service standards.

  • Maintains working knowledge of microcomputer and network systems used and supported by MMS as demonstrated by a thorough understanding of what tools are available and how they can be used in an effective manner according to supervisor observation.

  • Maintains confidentiality of information related to patients, associates, and/or Mountain Management Services operations at all times.

  • Utilizes e-mail system to provide good communication within the office and throughout MMS, and keeps own e-mail cabinet clean with minimal storage.

  • Provides help desk coverage as assigned

  • Rotates call with other I.S. personnel

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Associate degree in computer-related field preferred; or, one year of additional training at the college/trade school level in a computer-related field with equivalent experience in lieu of formal education.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:

  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years IDX GPMS experience.

  • Must be able to type, understand computer manuals from vendors, make presentations before large groups of people effectively, train others, have project organizational skills, and have excellent communication skills.

Pay Range

$25.18 - $35.26 /hour
