Job Title: Rail Car Loading Technician

PAY RATE: $20.13 (Guaranteed overtime weekly!)

Weekly Pay: $1,046 - $1,409 based on overtime.

SHIFT: 3rd Shift -- 6pm to 6:30am (4 days on then 4 days off).

Job Description

We are seeking a Rail Car Unloader to join our team. This position involves working in bulk truck and railcar loading operations. Connect hoses and use machinery to unload products from railcars. You must adhere to schedules to ensure orders are loaded by the correct departure time and follow safety and food safety rules. Additionally, you will be expected to perform sanitation and some preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment required to load bulk trucks and railcars (hand tools, computers, hoses).

• Work safely on top of a bulk truck or railcar using appropriate fall protection (harness).

• Follow a schedule to ensure orders are loaded by the correct departure time.

• Perform sanitation and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Work in a warehouse setting - not temperature controlled.

• Direct other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8-12 hours

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds/23 kilograms

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Ability to rotate shifts (4 on - 4 off) and provide job coverage, including weekends

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools, assembly, mechanical assembly, and general labor

• Experience with inventory and forklift operations

• Willingness to learn and operate all equipment in the bulk house

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment

Work Environment

This position requires working outside in all weather conditions. You will work night shifts from 6 pm to 6:30 am on a 4 on and 4 off rotation. The work involves physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Appropriate safety measures, including fall protection, must be adhered to at all times. Candidates will wear hard hat, steel toes, safety harness, and hair/beard nets.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.13 - $20.13/hr.
