Job Description

An engineering client of Insight Global's is looking for a Protection and Controls Substation Engineer to join their Chattanooga team onsite (with potential for hybrid flexibility). This individual will be working with a team to complete various P&C substation design projects mainly utilizing MicroStation & AutoCAD. They will be responsible for creating detailed design for one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, relay upgrades, protection and control schematics, and bill of materials. Additionally, they will be responsible for performing project scoping activities, mentoring junior engineers and designers especially with checking/reviewing others designs completing calculations, specifications, reports, plans, and drawings. The types of projects will include substation retrofits, upgrades, relay upgrades, etc. for high voltage substations -- 69kV to 500kV.

Skills and Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering

• 5+ years of Substation Protection and Controls design experience - EIT OR PE license (or at least ability to obtain)

• Experience performing estimating and scoping null
