A long-standing manufacturer in Chattanooga is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for permanent placement. As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions such as ensuring compliance with labor laws, recruiting and onboarding, and improving the safety program, and approving payroll for hourly employees.

Responsibilities:

-Lead recruiting efforts and onboard new employees

-Manage the weekly payroll processing through outsourced payroll management

-Partner with external vendors and benefits administration and assisting with open enrollment

-Maintain and revise employee policies and procedures

-Employee relations, developing retention strategies, and improve training and development programs

-Maintain OSHA logs and be part of the safety team along with management

-Documentation and develop new safety programs proactively

Requirements

-5+ years of progressive experience in broad based generalist roles

-Payroll processing

-Exposure to safety records keeping and training

-Benefits open enrollment experience

-Manufacturing experience

-Employee relations experience
