We are seeking an Accounting Coordinator based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The successful candidate will be part of our team in the non-profit industry, undertaking tasks related to accounts receivable, accounts payable processing, and other accounting operations coordinating. After initial training, this role can be hybrid with two days of work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with general ledger maintenance and monthly closing activities

• Process accounts payable from receipt of invoice to printing of accounts payable checks

• Handle incoming cash receipts, preparing deposits and posting payments in accounting software

• Distribute daily sales reports

• Track and recognize deferred revenue and prepaid expenses

• Analyze balance sheet G/L accounts post-closing

• Reconcile multiple operating, savings, and escrow bank accounts statements monthly

• Order and maintain office supplies

• Maintain petty cash

• Reconcile Payroll and Retirement Contribution reports quarterly

• Provide detailed revenues and expenses reports for analysis purposes

Requirements

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing procedures and systems

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Experience with invoice processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
