Air Entangling Operator

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for an Air Entangling Operator t o operate a Roto Twist Machine or Volkmann. Load packaged filament yarn (nylon, polypropylene, and polyester) onto a Roto Twist Machine or Volkmann, and doff off finished product packages as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Report any unsafe equipment, machinery or conditions to supervision immediately.

• Obtain cases of specified merge number from the set out conveyor.

• Creel packages of single yarn on overhead creel and spindle pot.

• Start and doff cones of plied yarn and place on doff rack.

• Patrol machines and repair ends down.

• Keep work area neat, orderly and safe.

• Report contamination, mixed threads or other off quality to supervision immediately.

• Perform any other duties as specified by supervision.
