**Description:

**The Senior Technical Buyer will provide support to the Purchasing Department and the individual will be utilized to work on a number of government contracts and subcontracts. In particular, Contractors Purchasing System Review (CPSR), compliance, and compliance with our upcoming Prime Contracts are critical elements of the requirements for this position.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Issuing a Request for Quotation
  • Place Purchase Orders in accordance with company policies, procedures and government regulations
  • Prepares and issue POs (purchase orders) on complex or specialized parts to support production schedules and departmental requirements
  • Negotiate Cost Savings
  • Work collaboratively and negotiate and engage with suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives and advise of impact on change on purchasing and production activities
  • Executing NDA and getting Approvals
  • Submitting Sole/Single Source Justifications
  • Obtaining Anti-Lobbying Certificates signed
  • Obtaining Debarment Certificates signed prior to Order placement
  • Ensure compliance to customer contracts, including U.S. government contracts, ensuring complete flow-down of customer contractual requirements, as well as complying with AS9100 policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and Purchase Order aware process
  • Issuing DO/DX Rated Orders appropriately on Purchase Order Agreements
  • Other duties as assigned by management

*Requirements: *

  • High School Diploma/GED (depends on experience ) or Bachelors Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in a Manufacturing or Aerospace environment (Preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills are needed for working with Suppliers
  • Ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be proficient in Word and Excel
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability and experience reading engineering drawings and specifications

Experience:

Experience working with procurement practices that comply with federal contract requirements.

Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation System (DFARS)

Experience with activities related to the strategic sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
