BASIC FUNCTION: The Technician will assemble, troubleshoot, and test various assemblies and subassemblies by means of schematics, blueprints, and verbal direction. As well as use of hand and power tools, tool fixtures, and test equipment.

MINIMUM BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Education minimum high school diploma/GED Certification in IPC 610, 620, JSTD 001(Preferred) Experience: 5+ years related experience Experience with SolidWorks/Electrical design (Preferred not required) Technical Knowledge or related experience

SKILLS:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • High degree of electro-mechanical skills and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with mechanical hand and power tools.
  • Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex assembly.
  • Skilled at soldering, crimping, and torquing.
  • Must be flexible to work overtime and travel when needed.
  • Must be flexible to work in different environments (rain, cold weather, etc.).
  • Writing, typing, and documenting.
  • Attention to detail/Detail oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints specifications, parts list, gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials.
  • Position and fasten units to assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Measure dimensions/clearance of parts to determines tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and veneers.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed unit to ensure that unit meets specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements.
  • Setup, maintain, troubleshoot and repair custom-designed manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Position will require ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
  • Maintains and completes all necessary reports legibility and in a timely fashion.
  • Communicates progress of repair with direct supervisor as required.
  • Communication and collaboration with engineers and program management.
  • Communication and collaboration with quality assurance.
  • Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Physical requirements: Position requires ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
