The Role: Our site in Chaska is seeking a/an Manufacturing Test Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The Test Engineer position will assist with maintaining and updating custom Windows based testers in production. Emphasis within this role will vary significantly based on the skills/interests of the candidate, but a broad ability for cross-disciplinary skills is critical, as is the ability/desire to diagnose and solve problems. The Invue division makes electronics for the semiconductor industry. A typical product is the NT6510. In this role, you will: Support custom Manufacturing Execution and Software application, database, and hardware platforms, mostly on premises. Review, improve, and document production processes and tests. Debug/troubleshoot issues, both on live production equipment and development machines. Triage and investigate multidisciplinary problems. Approach and involve the appropriate subject matter experts from other departments. Drive problems to resolution. Work with offsite, US based Lead SW Developer towards release of updated code platform. Create, document, and perform verification tests towards that release. Gain exposure to the electronics supply chain. You're a good fit if you have: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Outgoing personality. Ability to work with and engage a broad spectrum of people. Ability to understand the wide breadth of a problem, including the perspective from other disciplines. Curiosity and grit to investigate and diagnose. Familiarity with basic test hardware (like multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.) Analytical/experimental problem-solving skills to understand hardware, software issues, and be able to quickly analyze and resolve system inter-operability problems. Familiarity with one or more structured programming languages: C#, Visual Studio suite, VB6, etc. Ability to find, read, and revise schematics Ability to solder and use various mechanical tools Outstanding Candidates Will Have: Familiarity with industrial communication technologies (like Serial, GPIB, etc.) ? Familiarity with relational databases (SQL, Access) Familiarity with NI TestStand and/or LabView Familiarity with EE design packages such as Altium Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar Software Engineering or Computer Science with some hardware experience/desire What We Offer At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
