Electrical Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Electrical Technician where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining electrical, instrumentation, controls, process, and production systems throughout our facility. Your main responsibilities will include addressing equipment breakdowns, installations, startups, executing process improvements, and participating in preventative/precision maintenance programs. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing machine reliability and supporting the installation of facility capital investments. Your expertise will ensure compliance with code regulations and enhance our production efficiency.

Hard Skills

  • Understanding of NEC code

  • Proficient in conduit installation and wiring layout

  • Ability to build/modify control panels

  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and blueprints

  • Installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems

  • Troubleshooting of PLCs, automation software, and touchscreens

  • Programming and troubleshooting VFD’s and HIM modules

  • Usage of multimeters and other diagnostic tools

  • Mechanical troubleshooting for rotating equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic applications

  • Understanding of utilities equipment, precision measurement tools, security, and alarm systems

  • Knowledge of ARC flash/blast protocols

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chaska, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Work in a food manufacturing environment processing potatoes into various products. The facility can be dirty and wet in areas, but overall maintains cleanliness. This non-union role involves working in teams across various shifts, including rotating 12-hour day and night shifts. Uniforms are provide
