CEM is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Summary The position performs all maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance functions for all CNC & Manual Mills & Lathes, machines, building, equipment and grounds. Work includes routine inspections and repair or replacement of machines, equipment and the building s operating system. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Repairs to shop equipment (CNC & Manual Mills & Lathes, Manual Equipment, Forklifts, Paint Booth and other support equipment) Schedule outside repair technicians, as needed, for complex repairs. Plans, schedules and implements preventative maintenance. Building and Grounds Maintenance. Assesses production schedules, to minimize downtime, for all repairs. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and addresses maintenance issues and requests to ensure optimal equipment performance and when necessary, Work with outside contractors to procure parts and services. Provide guidance to contractors and others regarding work required to be performed. Work with outside contractors/vendors with getting bids for new machines and/or improvements needed for maintenance/building and continue working with them until project has been completed. Ensure complete documentation of annual inspections/certifications, regulatory requirements, service to all equipment and repairs (i.e., annual crane inspections, certifications of welders, sprinklers, alarms, EPA, etc.). Make regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement (i.e., member of the safety committee, annual review of Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures, etc.) Submit requisitions to Purchasing for parts, oils, lubricants, materials, cleaning supplies, etc. Keep maintenance room clean and organized. Create an inventory list of maintenance parts and keep up-to-date. Perform other tasks as warranted or assigned by management.
