University of Virginia Primary Care Assistant Professor - University Medical Associates in Charlottesville, Virginia
The Department of Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric, and Palliative Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor, tenure-ineligible faculty position in a well-established outpatient clinic located in Charlottesville, VA.
University Medical Associates (UMA) is the continuity practice for over 100 Department of Medicine medical residents. The largest of the division’s primary care practices, UMA is located on the main grounds of the UVA Health System. UMA has three missions. First, is to provide excellent and compassionate care to all our patients, especially those who cannot access care elsewhere. Second, to provide exceptional training in ambulatory medicine for the health care work force of the future. Third, to be a leader in UVA’s process of change that strives to improve health care delivery for all.
Responsibilities will include outpatient clinical practice as well as supervision and teaching of medical students and residents. In addition, attending on the general medicine inpatient unit at the University of Virginia Health System may be an option for the interested physician.

Candidates must have an MD or DO, be board-eligible/board-certified in Internal Medicine, and be committed to providing excellent patient care.
