Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include teaching private low brass lessons (trombone, euphonium, tuba) to undergraduate students; develop and maintain a studio of sufficient size to meet the ensemble needs of the department and retain excellent students; and teaching related courses in brass techniques/pedagogy and music classes in general education. Additional duties may be assigned commensurate with the candidate’s expertise and the department’s curricular, service, and community outreach needs.
Minimum Experience / Education:
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in music with an emphasis in brass performance or related field, with preference given to those who have demonstrated success in recruiting and teaching at the college level.
