Pay Rate - $63 - $65
Location: Charlotte
Must Haves: background with UAT testing, SIT testing all functional testing will be managing the testers so not doing the actual testing does need to have hands on UAT exp from earlier in career but for this role not doing hands on UAT just managing the testers managing the releases , defect tracking, scripting, test cases, needs actual lead experience or test management experience targeting 5+ years of lead or test manager.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced UAT Test Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of testing for critical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UAT and SIT testing with hands-on testing experience earlier in their career. In this role, the focus will be on managing the testing team, coordinating releases, tracking defects, and ensuring the successful execution of functional testing efforts. This is a leadership position that requires at least 5+ years of experience in test management or as a test lead, with the ability to quickly adapt and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Management & Leadership:
Manage all testing activities, including UAT, SIT, and functional testing, across multiple projects.
Lead a team of testers, providing clear direction, support, and oversight throughout the testing lifecycle.
Develop and maintain testing schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and release cycles.
Planning & Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to define testing requirements and strategies.
Oversee the creation and review of test scripts, test cases, and test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Coordinate testing phases and ensure readiness for release.
Defect Tracking & Resolution:
Monitor and manage defect tracking processes, ensuring defects are documented, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
Facilitate communication between testers, developers, and stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all testing efforts meet the organization’s quality standards and best practices.
Provide regular status updates, test metrics, and reports to stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Identify risks related to testing and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
Ensure adherence to testing timelines and escalate potential delays or issues as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 5+ years of experience as a Test Lead or Test Manager managing UAT, SIT, and functional testing.
Hands-on experience in UAT earlier in career, with a strong understanding of testing processes and best practices.
Proven experience managing releases, coordinating test cycles, and tracking defects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail) for tracking defects, managing test cases, and generating reports.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Leadership & Communication:
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor testing teams, ensuring successful delivery of testing objectives.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Additional Skills:
Experience with test case scripting and execution (preferred, not required for this role).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
