Robert Half Sr. Software Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are in search of an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our team located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role entails spearheading the development and implementation of innovative software solutions for automated systems used in various industrial settings. This is a permanent position with a focus on the design, management, and support of advanced software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of advanced software solutions for automated material handling systems.

• Oversee project management tasks, including planning and execution to ensure timely delivery.

• Manage on-site system installations and ensure seamless integration with existing automated equipment.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, including after-hours assistance on a rotational basis.

• Develop comprehensive training materials and user manuals for system operators and administrators.

• Conduct thorough in-house testing using software and hardware emulators to ensure system reliability.

• Guide and mentor a team of software developers, fostering collaboration and achieving project objectives.

• Provide training for system operators to ensure effective use of the software.

• Utilize skills in Backend Development, .NET C++, and C++ to develop and maintain software solutions.

• Act as the main point of contact for any software-related issues and ensure their timely resolution. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.

• Proficient in Backend Development.

• Excellent knowledge of .NET C++ and C++ programming languages.

• Ability to solve complex technical problems and provide effective solutions.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions.

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on project requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
