Job Summary
Sr. Financial Analyst - Strategy & Planning position (Reporting Team) is a key role within the Strategy and Planning department with a unique focus on Sector Internal Reporting, Budget/Forecasting within North America consolidation reporting. This position also serves as a sector facing contact within our S&P department, and will liaise will sector leadership to ensure all information is timely and accurate. This position reports to Director, Strategy & Planning. The position will be based in our Charlotte, NC corporate office coming into the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Responsibilities:
Manage the standard monthly sector reporting packages provided to Compass Group NA Officers and Sector Finance
Identify and understand business challenges; provide financial insights and projections to the leadership team and ensure reliable data and analysis is used for decision-making and planning
Oversee monthly close tasks and work closely with fellow finance team members to ensure all reporting is complete and accurate
Prepare and evaluate forecasts and budgets collected throughout the year which will assist executive leadership in managing projections and decision making by applying various strategic assumptions and scenarios to the projections.
Utilize Essbase effectively to analyze and load financial data into Hyperion, SAP and HFM
Arrange and compile reports that contains KPI’s and other financial metrics used by the Executive team
Special projects as determined necessary by management as well as ad hoc analysis for Sector Finance and Executive Management
Seek continuous improvements by identification and implementation of on-going efficiencies and process improvements
Partner with internal corporate departments to ensure all reporting is complete and accurately stated.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Five+ years of accounting/finance/reporting experience in a large organization
Excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills
Team player in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Attention to detail, and a positive Can-do attitude are must-haves
Ability to drive completion of deliverables independently
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent skills in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel (other BI tools is a plus)
Hyperion, Essbase, HFM, and SAP experience a plus
