Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a SQL / Oracle Database Developer for one of our top financial services clients. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated database application expert with strong background in SQL database development AND oracle database development. This team within Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers, working on improvements and maintenance of our Oracle database application used to calculate cost of funds for our banking products. This team consist of subject matter experts in the application of interest and index rates (such as SOFOR, LIBOR and others) to generate internal cost of funds for our banking products. Members of this team have strong database development skills and work closely with our CFO partners and other application teams that provide us data or consumer our calculated results to ensure that we have correct cost of funds data for margin and pricing calculations for our products. In this role you will leverage your strong SQL and communication skills to analyze existing code and develop updates based on changes that occur monthly and quarterly with our integrated applications or from our CFO partners. Over time you will develop Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the application and the business process it supports.

Skills and Requirements

Strong SQL development skills with direct experience developing on MS SQL Enterprise Edition and Oracle

Database design/data modeling experience

Familiar with Jenkins/Ansible software deployment tools

Good Problem-Solving skills

Attention to detail, with an ability to identify risks and issues and suggest improvements.

Strong application design experience particularly experience as a leader designing, implementing, or upgrading large data processing applications.

SQL development skills will need to be able to translate sql

Highly motivated self-starter

Effective communication skills. Will need to be able to communicate technically to business counterparts

Ability to identify risk and issues and suggest improvements Familiarity with Hadoop

Familiarity with PowerBuilder null
