Wells Fargo Senior Infrastructure Engineer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer within the File Storage Engineering team. This team provides File Storage solutions to meet our business partner's needs and growing demand of this platform.

As part of this team, you will work closely with architecture to assess new solutions, certify releases and make recommendations on go-forward strategies in the file storage space. You will also work closely with operational support, providing guidance and Level 2 support as needed.

This position works with a variety of technologies so experience in one or more of these areas is preferred:

  • Storage: NetApp, Oracle, Vast

  • Operating Systems: Windows, VMWare, Linux

  • Databases: SQL, Oracle, Mongo

  • Network: Arista, Cisco, Firewalls

  • Languages: Python, PowerShell

In this role you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business

  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions

  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements

  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery time

  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotation

  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices

  • Design complex system upgrades

  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop

  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring

  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience with file storage specifically with NetApp FAS

  • 4+ years of experience within an Object, SAN and/or backup environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced scripting skills specifically around automation

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of technologies related to infrastructure engineering

  • Ability to help remediate tough technical support issues

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of team on multiple overlapping projects

  • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization

  • Customer focused, service-oriented attitude

  • Proven skills analyzing and trouble-shooting complex systems configurations

  • Agile experience using Jira and working in a Product Model framework

  • Risk management and mitigation experience

  • Ability to navigate complex processes common to large technology organizations spread across many specialty focused technology disciplines
