Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Residence Education Coordinator is a 12-month, full-time professional staff member in the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The Residence Education Coordinator is responsible for providing overall management and leadership in residential communities housing 300-750 residents.
Principal responsibilities include:
Staff supervision and development, residential education, community development, student conduct; facility and assignment management, hall council advising, crisis management and summer operations
Other departmental/campus-wide responsibilities.
Minimum Experience / Education:
- Master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree in higher education, counseling and/or student personnel (or a related field).
Two years of housing experience at the graduate or professional level
Demonstrated ability to blend the academic and residential components of student life.
Additional experience in staff supervision and educational/social programming will be viewed positively.
