Position Details:

  • Reports to VP of Sales

  • Management of independent representative agencies and all customers in both the showroom and distribution channel in the East region.

  • Travel 40%-60%

Location:

This is approved to work remote

Our ideal candidate must be within easy access to a major airport within the East Region. For example, Charlo tte, Nashville, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Northern VA etc. But anywhere within the East Region will work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving sales growth and margin objectives.

  • Supervise daily operations of rep agencies, encompassing coaching, performance evaluation, territory planning, client interactions, and goal setting.

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy to drive territory revenue and margin beyond set targets.

  • Assess the impact of current representative agencies make decisions regarding training, recruitment, or termination.

  • Work closely with Regional Manager, marketing, purchasing and product development team.

  • Assume leadership in negotiating major customer agreements, seizing sales opportunities, and handling project quote requests.

  • Compile monthly sales reports detailing sales volume, target account activity, and opportunities.

  • Resolve customer inquiries, issues, or needs promptly and efficiently while maintaining transparent communication internally.

  • Create and implement account strategies by conducting market research, identifying new business prospects, and devising tailored sales plans for key accounts.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key customers, understanding their requirements and serving as the primary contact for sales-related matters.

  • Develop plan to add showroom customers to territory.

  • Arrange for the placement of new displays in both existing and prospective customer showrooms.

  • Conduct formal and informal training sessions with showrooms, covering all aspects of Minka Products and website usage.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing Independent Representative firms and sales leadership .

  • Experience with showrooms, designers and builders

  • Experience in the lighting industry showrooms and distribution is a plus.

  • Proven history of success in similar leadership roles, demonstrating strong performance.

  • Documented achievements in business development, generating new revenue streams, and establishing fresh business connections.

  • Essential attributes include being a collaborative team player with excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.

  • Consistent track record of elevating sales figures across a career in sales.

  • Capable of delivering presentations to both large and small audiences.

  • Exhibits resilience, initiative, drive, and persistence in endeavors.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Willingness to engage in overnight travel, ranging from 35% to 60%.

Pay Range:

$7,949.70 - $17,325.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
