Summary

The Project Manager II provides overall management direction on complex project(s). Establishes project objectives through planning and budgets, serves as the primary point of contact with the client, and monitors construction and financial activities in collaboration with the Project Team. Responsible for the financial results of the project. Responsible for safety on the project by perpetuating the IIF culture.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Manager II performs all project management responsibilities on medium to large sized projects ($20M-$100M) and moderate to high-risk engineering, procurement, and construction/construction management (EPC/CM) projects and will possess competency in the areas listed below in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner.   • Ensure the established BP&P project management governance, procedures, tools and financial controls are deployed and effectively utilized for assigned projects.

  • Demonstrate strong program and project governance and delivery skills – initiation, planning, execution, status reporting, financials, resource management, risks, issues, dependencies, and prioritization for assigned projects.

  • Responsible for Pre-Construction Duties

  • Leads Job Transition and Start-up Process

  • Manages Cost and Schedule

  • Manages Cash Flow

  • Directs and/or Oversees Staff

  • Manages Client Relationship

  • Manages Generation and Submittal of Technical Records

  • Manages the Construction Process

  • Manages Project Safety and Risk Management Processes

  • Ensures a Safe Work Environment

  • Participates in Training/Certifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 10 years of work experience of which a minimum of 5 years being management/supervision of medium to large EPC/CM Projects encompassing the pre-requisite skills contained herein.

  • Professional Project Management (PMP) Certification a plus.

  • Polished, professional demeanor with ability to communicate and present (oral and written) complex issues internally and externally to management, Customers, subcontractors and other third parties.

  • Ability to motivate, lead, gain consensus and organize team members to analyze project execution related issues, identify needs, recommend solutions, and implement appropriate actions.

  • Able to attract, develop and retain talent at the project level.

  • Anticipate internal and external project needs and develop, implement, and manage plans and resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Act as a lead contributor in project commercial management, innovative problem solving, strategy development and process improvement.

  • Familiar with power and process plant technology, process systems and standards.
