Our Client focuses on installing safety features in buildings works with a variety type of clients. They have an immediate opening for a Project Billing Accountant. Previous experience with Billing preferred required, within the AEC industry preferred-but not essential. This is a direct hire on site opportunity located in the SouthWest side of Charlotte. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Reviews and analyzes contracts and job cost data from source documents to produce invoices
Responsible for monitoring job performance, billed position, and receivable
collection for assigned projects.
Set up new projects and open/close phases as well as project close outs in the accounting software.
Maintain project-specific subcontractor and supplier lien waivers.
Maintain billing folders for projects with all appropriate documents, including
notarized lien waivers and monthly invoices.
Email final invoice package and/or upload invoice to applicable customer
contacts, portals, etc.
Collect on past due balances and document notes in system of record. Resvolve any discrepancies with clients.
Provide Work-in-Progress (WIP) report tracking and maintenance and discuss with Project Managers.
Prepare and distribute A/R reports and other reports as requested by management.
Effectively communicate internally and externally regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications.
Skills
Project Accounting (2 years of experience is required)
Construction (2 years of experience is preferred)
AIA Billing (2 years of experience is required)
Excel (2 years of experience is required)
