Configure, enhance and operate the enterprise network infrastructure, utilize diagnostic tools, automation, and recovery systems using standard or proprietary scripting and utilities. Responsible for complex analysis and resolution of escalated problems within the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Provide Tier III level support for network issues that come through the customer support center.

  • Provide 24x7 on-call availability for supported infrastructure.

  • Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for network issues.

  • Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets. Document all relevant end-user interactions and steps taken to resolve incidents.

  • Has frequent contact with end-users.

  • Take direction from senior engineers to perform configuration and troubleshooting of installed networking systems.

  • Work with other IT teams to support the changes to configure and enable the necessary solutions including security, logging, monitoring.

  • Perform pre-integration and production tests to ensure high quality implementations.

  • Communicate project status, dependencies, and requirements to management.

  • Stay current on changes in the networking technology space including L1 transports, software defined networking, configuration and deployment technologies including virtual machines and containers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Understanding of application development and/or support and coding.

  • Foundational knowledge of business concepts and terms.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing basic information about application release and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Banking or financial services experience.

  • Knowledge of the following: Cisco Networks, ACI, SDWAN, BGP, OSPF. Knowledge of one or more of the following: SDWAN, VXLAN, F5, AWS, Postman, Ansible

  • A grounded understanding of applied enterprise network technology

  • Knowledge of data flow, tcp/udp, mainframe/client server systems, OSI, problem analysis, and system tuning

  • Resourcefulness in multi-tasking, anticipating needs, developing creative solutions, and researching/synthesizing information to resolve problems with moderate supervision.

  • Familiarity with Dev Ops technologies

  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as Slack, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Visio, MS Office suite

  • Ability to self-manage time.
