Our client, a leader in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, is seeking a Market Development Lead to join their team. As a Market Development Lead, you will be part of the sales department supporting a dynamic team focused on driving market growth. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Market Development Lead
Location: Charlotte, NC (Travel required to Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee)
What's the Job?
Engage with Independent Distributor Partners (IDPs) to analyze market conditions and identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with retail store management and key decision-makers to build strong relationships and drive business equity.
Conduct regular store visits to ensure effective merchandising and product placement.
Support promotional events and execute local market strategies in partnership with IDPs.
Utilize technology and data analysis to inform business decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's Degree preferred; minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or Consumer Packaged Goods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel locally and overnight as required.
