EverBank Managing Director, Asset-Backed Finance in Charlotte, North Carolina

Asset-Backed Finance

This senior role is responsible for implementing consistent high quality underwriting processes and transaction structuring while maintaining a strong credit and risk culture. The role will be tasked with (i) leading the modeling and credit analysis of credit exposures, (ii) structure transaction attachment points and credit mitigants to prudent thresholds, and (iii) cultivating a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides strategic leadership and management to a team of bankers; developing and effectively engaging the team to deliver successful results.

  • Creates efficiencies and consistency in work product, knowledge and communication; fostering a culture of sharing best practices and creating operational efficiencies.

  • Functions as a trusted Advisor to Credit ensuring the business maintains a strong risk and control framework, driving accountability across all team members.

  • Acts as a resource to raise awareness to issues and seek out practices to ensure proper compliance and understanding of EverBank’s policies.

  • Develops and fosters a culture of talent development to meet business strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in fund finance, leveraged finance, asset-backed/structured finance or investment banking is preferred

  • Broad financing product and capital markets expertise

  • Credit underwriting experience - strong knowledge of credit issues/ability to identify and underwrite risks and extensive cashflow modeling experience

  • Experience reading, negotiating, and interpreting legal documents

  • Leadership experience and/or experience training others in a relevant professional capacity

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative work environment

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and achieve goals in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including explanations of complex concepts

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Pay Range $297,500 - $402,500
