Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

A large manufacturing plant located in Charlotte, NC is seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians for Direct Hire placements.

Starting pay rate for Electricians will be $30-38/hr.

Hours will be 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday or on a 8 days on, 6 days off schedule.

Qualified candidates must be comfortable working on large industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Major electrical troubleshooting including diagnosing faults with a multimeter, reading a schematic, and hooking up motors, doing fault analysis of circuits, installing sensors, and plc cabinets.

  • Troubleshoot the plc system and the sensory equipment.

  • Following all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and productive environment.

  • Troubleshooting control panels, conveyor systems, pumps, sensors, relays, circuits, and mixing equipment.

  • Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 480 volts.

  • Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment.

  • Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues within the plant.

  • Blueprint and schematic reading.

  • Preventive maintenance.

  • PLC Troubleshooting

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Any secondary schooling is helpful but not required.

  • Experience in a similar role or a degree in mechatronics is advantageous.

Work Environment

This role is based in a steel mill that processes recycled material into building materials for the construction industry. The facility consists of large hanger-style buildings that are temperate in winter and hot in summer due to the foundry. The equipment size prevents climate control.

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $76960.00
