The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION:

RD&E IT Business Solutions Group is looking to add an operational analyst to their team. This position will have the ability to partner with a variety of software development & engineering experts to support a portfolio of business solutions (SaaS, Pro/Low Code) that are deployed/deploying within the Corning Science & Technology community. The portfolio is comprised of a variety of technical stacks and provide an even wider variety of functions to the business community including but not limited to – shipping applications, order, time, and parts tracking applications, and more! This position will also provide the opportunity to contribute to user experience design and business analysis efforts for business solutions as well as test management for these solutions. WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Junior level operational analyst experience

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, or related field is preferred

  • At least 1-5 years' experience of operational support

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to debug and correct issues

  • Ability to bring an organized and methodical approach to technical problem solving

  • Preferred junior level experience working with some to all of the following technologies:

  • Front-End:HTML, CSS, C++, Java/JavaScript, Typescript, AngularJS, Vue.js, React, jQuery

  • Business Layer:.NET, MVC, C#, Visual Basic, Entity Framework, APIs (ex. SOAP, REST)

  • Data Layer:SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, XML, JSON

  • Tools:Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure DevOps/TFS, Jira, Confluence, GIT

  • Ability to work in a fast past environment

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively

  • Ability to solve technical problems independently

  • Experience in working with customers and end-users

  • Ability to listen & empathize with end-user frustration as well as ask information gathering questions to aid in resolving technical issues

The range for this position is $74,625.00 - $102,610.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
