A Snapshot of Your Day
As a "Gas Turbine R&D – Project Engineer" you are a committed, independent and creative personality with knowledge of gas turbines and basic knowledge of project management. As a member of the Gas Turbine Engineering Project Management Office Team, you will support global project management in the planning, implementation and controlling of R&D projects / programs. In addition to classic project management tools, you will also apply modern agile methods such as SCRUM for the cooperation of the development teams.
Furthermore, as the project engineer role is the entry role into the R&D project management development path, you will use and develop your project management experience / skills for defining small gas turbine development project scopes, engaging stakeholders, and leading small cross-functional global teams towards successful execution. For these small R&D projects, you'll be responsible for project governance, managing budgets, scheduling reviews, and ensuring effective communication across the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
You develop and maintain detailed R&D project schedules using MS Project Enterprise
You establish and coordinate overview of budget, milestones and resource plans to facilitate regular monitoring.
Facilitate execution through coordination across multiple functions including engineering, business controlling, supply management, manufacturing development and other interfaces as required.
Furthermore, you support project/program portfolio planning, prioritization and resource allocation.
You facilitate regular program reviews, support resolution of resource, budget or schedule conflicts as needed.
You facilitate project stand up meetings / SCRUM meetings.
Drive the delivery and execution of small projects to protect, grow, and de-carbonize our LGT Gas Turbine Products.
Collaborate with stakeholders to scope requirements and gather cross-functional global teams for project execution.
Ensure safe and effective introduction of innovative solutions into our products by following quality standards.
Contribute to the development of LGT products as a member of the Project Management team.
What You Bring
Successfully completed training or studies in a technical field. Professional experience in the field of gas turbines, as well as in the field of project management and project controlling desirable.
Confident in using standard software (MS Office), basic knowledge of MSP Project desirable.
Knowledge of gas turbines’ technology.
Business fluent English, both written and spoken, as well as intercultural experience.
Teamwork and communication skills, decision-making, problem-solving and assertiveness as well as a sense of goal round off your profile.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
