Robert Half Fund Accountant in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Fund Accountant to join our team in the FS Real Estate Fund industry, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various accounting and finance duties, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing internal management reports.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct accounting and finance functions for company, joint venture, and fund-level financials.

• Manage the general ledger and any relevant sub-ledgers.

• Prepare and review trial balances and assist with the monthly/quarterly/annual close process.

• Collaborate with Finance, Capital Markets, and Treasury teams daily.

• Assist with annual audits across multiple entities within the organizational structure.

• Prepare internal management reports and financial performance metrics.

• Manage and monitor the timing and quality of internal and external deliverables.

• Interact with senior management to present and discuss financial results.

• Proactively communicate and coordinate across internal groups.

• Utilize skills in General Ledger, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Account Reconciliation, Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, MRI, MRI Software, MS Excel, and Microsoft Excel.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the FS Real Estate Fund industry

• Proficiency in General Ledger and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in Account Reconciliation and Month End Close activities

• Knowledge of MRI and MRI Software is essential

• Proficiency in using MS Excel and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
