Siemens Energy Final Assembly Manufacturing Manager- Large Power Transformers in Charlotte, North Carolina
This role will be based at our newSiemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center Factory in Charlotte, NorthCarolina, USA. The facility is planned to be built by early 2026 for productioncommencement. Consequently, the first part of the journey in this role in ourCompany will involve overseeing the construction of the factory and theimplementation of new processes, as well as managing the development of ahigh-performance team and coordinating all aspects of the factory setup toprepare for production.

The Final Assembly Manufacturing Manager plays a key role in the last stages of the Large Power Transformer manufacturing process. This role is responsible for delivery transformers, prior to final acceptance test and final transportation. As Final Assembly Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of up to 70 direct and indirect reports ensuring safety, quality and cost. The transformers, at the end of this stage, are properly equipped for remaining steps within the assembly process. This individual will also work closely with Winding Manufacturing Manager and Active Part Manufacturing Manager with the potential of cross managing these teams as needed. The Final Assembly Manufacturing Manager’s role is critical for ensuring the final assembly and dispatch process is carries out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all relevant standards. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, technical expertise with a strong focus in quality and efficiency and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Strategic Leadership : Define strategies, tactics, projects, and methods to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, fostering a high-performance team culture. Lead and define superior manufacturing policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Production Management : Lead production activities according to the Integrated Management System (IMS) and contribute to production planning processes, determining manufacturing priorities based on weekly schedules.
Risk and Compliance : Perform risk assessments for deviations, ensure coherence with internal guidelines and external regulations, and lead the alignment of planning processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement : Design and propose short and midterm development plans for production areas, monitor investment projects, and evaluate maintenance programs. Implement value stream mapping (VSM) and value stream design (VSD).
Resource Allocation : Define unit budgets, allocate resources, control costs, and support manufacturing capacity planning for the fiscal year. Ensure optimum machine utilization and product scheduling.
Team Development and Collaboration : Conduct developmental planning for employees, perform competence matrix assessments, lead second-level meetings to resolve process deviations, and ensure effective cooperation with internal and external parties.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree: Electric, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering along with 10+ Years Experience in Manufacturing Industries (5+ years in People Management.)
Experience with electric or power transformers preferred.
Six Sigma Certification and knowledge of lean manufacturing principals strongly preferred, along with knowledge of SAP and HANA Systems
Ability to effectively supervise financials and budgeting within the assigned cell.
Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance [TPM] and Overall Equipment Effectiveness [OEE].
Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
