Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Technician: Conduct fieldwork to collect soil, water, air, and other environmental samples. Operate and maintain remediation systems including air sparging, soil vapor extraction, groundwater collection and treatment, and vapor mitigation systems. Maintain field equipment used for sampling and monitoring. Follow established protocols to collect accurate and reliable data. Oversee environmental remediation activities including soil excavation, groundwater treatment, remedial system installation, Record and manage data from field samples and environmental monitoring. Prepare and maintain detailed field notes and photo logs. Conduct regular monitoring of environmental conditions at various sites. Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of monitoring equipment. Report any irregularities or potential environmental hazards to supervisors. Participate in system audits and inspections as needed. Provide support for environmental assessments, remediation projects, and other environmental initiatives. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors immediately. What we're looking for: High School diploma Mechanically inclined individual who is comfortable working around machinery and troubleshooting / repairing equipment 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour refreshers not required but are preferred Awareness of and/or experience with environmental remediation including soil, soil gas, and groundwater treatment systems is a plus 2+ years of related experience Excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail; field adeptness Good driving record and safety record and understanding of safe work practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
