Honeywell Engineering PLM Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Global Project Engineering (GPE) is going through a Digital transformation across Honeywell and in lieu of that, we are seeking a Talented PLM Toolset Expert to drive the Digital transformation of our project engineering processes. This role involves leveraging PLM tools to streamline Project Design, implementation, Testing, seamless integration of Project Lifecycle tollgates, enhance collaboration, and improve overall efficiency across teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of PLM systems and good understanding and background of project engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLM Product Ownership and Solutioning: Develop solution by mapping and optimizing the current engineering process / tools to the capability and features, that enable support project engineering initiatives in line with business objectives.

  • Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for engineering teams to effectively transition and utilize PLM tools, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Process Improvement: Analyze current engineering processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending PLM solutions that enhance workflow and efforts efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of PLM tools into existing systems and processes.

  • Analytics and Data Management: Oversee the management of data within the PLM system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for all stakeholders.

  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to PLM tools, providing insights and recommendations for future enhancements of the solution and engineering process

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects aimed at transforming engineering practices through the effective use of PLM tools, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) with PLM solutions and implementation (e.g. Siemens PLM software / Tool sets - Teamcenter, Rulestream, Polarion).

  • Strong understanding and experience of Project lifecycle and Project Engineering process including ETO (Engineering to Order)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead training sessions, workshops and drive change

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
