Electrical Designer Engineer

Job Description

Currently seeking a talented Electrical Designer to join a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. Our organization is fully committed to sustainable design. The ideal candidate will have consulting engineering experience and will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial, and multifamily residential projects. The role involves performing engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives, involving conventional types of plans and specifications. Work is reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.

Hard Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data, and telecommunication building systems design

  • Electrical Power Distribution Circuiting Design

  • Lighting and Lighting Controls Design

  • Emergency Systems Design

  • Fire Alarm System Design

  • Power Distributions Systems Design

  • Knowledge of Revit is a plus

  • Strong AutoCAD skills including ACAD

  • Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

Requirements

  • Exposure to Revit

  • Internship in an MEP role

  • EIT or a year of internship

Consulting engineering environment focused on sustainable design with projects spanning offices, retail, condominiums, industrial, and multifamily residential projects.
