Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Manager to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, real estate or property accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and industry standards. Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Monitor budget performance and provide insights to improve financial outcomes.

  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team capabilities.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and investment opportunities. Develop strategies to optimize cash management and working capital.

  • Real Estate Transactions: Oversee the accounting for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing activities. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of real estate assets and liabilities.

  • Systems and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Lead the implementation of accounting software and systems upgrades.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • CPA preferred

  • B.S. or B.A. in Accounting required

  • 2+ years in public accounting & 2+ years in industry
