Siemens Energy CNC Machinist: Horizontal Boring Mill- GT Rotor (4x10 Night Shift, Mon.-Thurs. 4:00pm - 2:30am) in Charlotte, North Carolina

A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills to perform various machining (boring, side entry, slotting) and drilling, tapping, and reaming operations on a variety of turbine-rotor parts and components.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

Primary functions of this job include part set up, tool setting, tool offset, and cutter compensation, In addition tool feed, tool speed, tool wear, chip development and coolant assessment capabilities required.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • 3+ years of CNC Horizontal machining experience required.

  • Proven ability to use precision gages and set up tooling to high accuracies.

  • Proven ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings and programs.

  • Siemens controls or Fanuc controls experience is required.

  • Must be able to work overtime as required.

  • Successful applicant required to pass a skills assessment.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
