Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Combined Cycle Civil Engineer to support the design, construction, and commissioning of combined cycle power plants. This role is primarily remote, with 30-40% travel to project sites for inspections, coordination, and field support (all travel expenses covered). The ideal candidate will have expertise in civil and structural engineering aspects related to power plant projects, including foundations, structures, drainage, and site development.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee civil and structural engineering activities for combined cycle power plants, ensuring compliance with design codes and industry standards.

Design and review foundations, buildings, cooling towers, pipe racks, and other structural components.

Conduct site evaluations, geotechnical assessments, and foundation design for heavy equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, and HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators).

Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and piping teams to ensure seamless integration of civil and structural elements.

Review contractor submittals, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.

Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and issue resolution.

Ensure projects comply with environmental, safety, and permitting requirements.

Travel to project sites (30-40%) for field inspections, contractor coordination, and project oversight.

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely project completion.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred).

Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in combined cycle power plants or similar industrial projects.

Proficiency in civil engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Strong understanding of applicable codes (ASCE, ACI, AISC, and local regulations).

Experience with geotechnical engineering and foundation design for heavy industrial structures.

Ability to travel 30-40% as required for site visits, inspections, and meetings. Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.

Familiarity with international power plant construction standards and best practices.

Knowledge of seismic design considerations for power plants. null
