Job Description: SQL Server Database Developer (Contract)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Schedule)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Compensation: $50 to $60 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Developer to join our team for a long-term contract. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases to support critical business applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in database development, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases to meet business needs.

• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

• Analyze and troubleshoot database performance issues and implement solutions.

• Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to define database requirements.

• Maintain and enhance ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration.

• Perform data modeling and database schema design for new and existing applications.

• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company standards.

• Document database designs, processes, and operational procedures.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Azure data services.

• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.

• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.

• Experience with data modeling and relational/non-relational database systems.

• Familiarity with Python or Scala for data processing tasks.

• Understanding of data governance and security best practices in cloud environments.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools for data visualization.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.

• Familiarity with Big Data technologies and architecture.
