Job Title: Picker and Packer
Job Description
As a Picker and Packer, you will work in the warehouse on your feet, using an RF gun to locate and pick products to a pallet or an overpack case. You will move inventory from drop zones using a walkie-rider or pallet jack and de-stage product into Pick Mod. The various warehouse/pick activities are done by utilizing the WMS through either radio frequency (RF) equipment, pick to light technologies, or computer-based workstations. You may work in various departments including Receiving, Case Pick Modules, Shipping, Returns, DEA, Freezer, and Refrigerated space.
Responsibilities
Pick case quantities and build pallets for extended periods.
Retrieve replenishments from drop zones and deliver to pick modules using a pallet jack.
Operate a powered stretch-wrap machine.
Build pallets and break pallets down as needed.
Verify inventory levels in locations by performing cycle counts.
Conduct assorted WMS tasks such as receiving incoming materials, counting, sorting, verification of item numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, data entering, and other visual verifications.
Use a pallet jack, with training provided for the use of a walkie-rider.
Perform other assigned tasks as directed by management.
Focus on quality and accuracy as part of the company-wide goal: Quality First.

Essential Skills
1+ years of picking experience
Knowledge of RF scanner and how they operate
Basic math and counting skills
Basic computer and calculator skills
Experience with inventory management, forklift operation, material handling, pallet jack usage, labeling, warehouse inventory, and shipping and receiving
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail
Ability to take time and learn from mistakes
Ability to show care and prioritize quality over quantity

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean and not very loud, with climate control set at 71 degrees year-round. Employees have breaks that include two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch. The pay period runs from Sunday to Saturday, and overtime on weekends is voluntary. Some jobs may require working in a cold container (refrigerator), but employees are allowed to wear a jacket as long as it does not have a hood and is not oversized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlestown, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.50/hr.
