Internist (Multiple openings at Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc. in Charleston, WV): Provide clinical care services to patients. Will also perform the following duties: Treatment and management of the full spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions such as flu, common cold, bronchitis, strep throat, and pneumonia; Management of arthritis and other rheumatologic conditions, blood disorders, diabetes, digestive disorders, hypertension, and immunologic disorders; Provide preventive healthcare services including vaccinations, nutritional counseling, wellness checkups, and screenings for common health problems; Perform preoperative evaluations for patients with preexisting conditions to ensure the safety of the patient and determining whether these are contraindicators for the surgery; Therapeutic injections for pain management; Diagnostic procedures and health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol screening, colorectal cancer screening, hormone tests, and screenings for gynecological cancers; Minor office procedures such as removal of foreign bodies from eyes and skin, abscess drainage, laceration repair, excision of skin lesions, and skin biopsies. Requirements: MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent degree. Completion of Residency in Internal Medicine. Full and unrestricted West Virginia Medical License at the time of employment.
