West Virginia Employer Experienced Construction Laborer in Charleston, West Virginia
This position requires travel: 100% traveling to include work in West Virginia. Hotel, food and travel paid for by the company. Employees are expected to work 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule. The employer has flexible schedule options for temporary positions as well. Responsibilities: Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps. Move materials on a construction site. Read and determine measurements. Maintain a clean and organized construction site. Work together in a team environment. Learn to operate rock drills. Operate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders. Qualifications: Must not be afraid of heights. The ability to travel at least 3 weeks out of every month. Reliability and a strong work ethic. Enthusiastically work with a diverse team. Preferred Qualifications: Any prior soil stabilization, grouting, or foundation mitigation experience, OR prior construction industry experience as a carpenter or framer for example, OR prior concrete experience such as a concrete finisher/form builder or shotcrete experience, OR significant experience working outdoors in a collaborative, physical environment. And a CDL Class A or a clean Motor Vehicle Driving Record. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments. The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers. Regular heavy lifting (50 lbs plus) of construction materials on the job site.
