WACKER POLYSILICON NORTH AMERICA LLC HR Generalist (Human Resources Generalist) in Charleston, Tennessee

The Human Resources Generalistis a business partner for working with Human Resources team supporting multiple divisions and the corporate functions for the Charleston, TN site. The position will contribute to a wide variety of HR areas including but not limited to: Employee Relations, Hiring, Recruitment and Onboarding, Labor Relations, Policies Implementation and Compliance, Performance Management, Change Management, and Talent Development Programs.

  • Works with the HR and Talent Acquisition team to accomplish the recruiting goals for the sites to include preparing and maintaining accurate job descriptions, ensuring the staffing levels are managed to the headcount plan through outreach and other creative measures, improving talent pipeline, screening candidates, extending offer letters, and leads the onboarding process. This process applies to contingent staffing needs in addition to the full-time team members; 25%.
  • Manages and Coordinates activities such as Trainee Development Programs in partnership with local educational institutions for students, and current team members, as well as recruitment job fairs, and other special projects; 25%.
  • Works with the HR group to improve processes to become more efficient through using electronic systems, creating dashboards, centralized information storage and maintaining the data supporting these systems. Tracks and Reports on Key Performance Indicators and HR Metrics related to recruitment, retention and more; 20%.
  • Executes and maintains records of hourly team member pay progression including annual reviews, assessment tests and tools and guiding documents associated with processing payroll changes; 10%.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend improvements to local and regional HR policies to remain current with HR policies and practices in the market and in similar industries. Additionally, will administer and interpret HR policies and procedures ensuring clear communication, compliance, and equitable application of policies; 10%.
  • Supports initiatives implemented and communicated from the Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Development functions; 10%.

What we need from you:

  • AS degreein HR; or other related field plus relevant HR generalist experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Self-driven with ability to partner and build relationships to effectively work with entry-level up to VP level.
  • Proven track record as an HR business partner who persists when faced with adversity to maintain the integrity of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • First-hand experience using an HRIS system, SAP or Success Factors preferred.
  • Proven ability to use a variety of MS Office software.
  • A current certification from SHRM or HRCI preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
