Job Purpose
Budget Manager provides administrative support and oversees all business transactions for the Office of Student Involvement. Administers budgets for the department, 200+ student organizations and the Student Government Association (SGA). Monitors, reconciles, and reports on numerous budgets accounts. Advises theSGATreasurer
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred. Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices required. Must have experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience using Banner Finance systems preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced office environment and able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects is essential. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with State of South Carolina budgetary systems and procurement policies and guidelines. Ability to create and update Excel spreadsheets for office accounting; ability to develop and monitor complex line-item budgets. Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of providing high levels of customer service. Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Experience working in higher education and/or with college populations helpful. Occasional evening and weekend hours required. Occasional out-of-state and overnight travel.
